I love Paris! I went for the first time in the summer of 2008 with my boyfriend and my mom on a whirlwind tour of Europe. It was everything I expected and more! I will never forget looking up at the Eiffel Tower at dusk and seeing it burst into light. I know some people think the twinkling lights are tacky, but that moment was magical for me.
I was doing a necessary purge of my closet a while back and found a plain black skirt that doesn’t get worn very often and I though it didn’t deserve such neglect! It’s nothing special but would be a perfect canvas for some kind of embellishment! I’ve been dabbling in embroidery lately and got a fabulous book called A Rainbow of Stitches for Christmas and was dying to put it to use. Enter the Eiffel Tower. Perfection! I was so happy with the final product. Neglected black skirt becomes a new favourite! Success!
Fantastic skirt! I will definitely have to check out that book!
it’s a really great book and the designs in it are gorgeous!
That’s amazing! Brilliant embroidery 🙂 I’ve been doing a lot of stitching myself recently but only on aida (the little squares make me feel safe)- seeing your beautiful skirt has inspired me to get stitching on my clothes!
awww, thanks so much! Stitching on clothes is fun and it’s nice to have something that no one else has! Give it a go!
