Today’s travel craft is brought to you by me, finally! So far I’ve only featured the handy work of others so I thought it was about time to prove my crafty title and show you something made by me. I can’t take all the credit though, I used a great tutorial by Jo at Chubby*Hobby.
As Jo explains in her passport tutorial post, this is really more of a passport carry case that can hold two passports and has extra slots for cards and such. After using my new cover when travelling this weekend I can vouch that it works great, and I think I even caught a couple glimpses of people checking it out, which is always satisfying when you put all the effort into making something yourself. Shallow but true.
This would be a great beginner project because it really only requires you to be able to cut and sew a straight line, though getting all the layers properly lined up can be a bit tricky. It only took about an hour to complete the whole thing and now I have my very own, one of a kind passport holder! I think it was well worth the effort.

I love your passport holder! Thanks for sharing this – I may have to make one for myself and our kids!
